Doing good even in the cold!

The last few weeks have been really cold! We can see the beautiful soft snow in the mountains that surround us and some mornings even on our cars! But generally it’s raining and hailing so we are staying indoors and keeping our heating on a lot more than usual! We are having to use all our creativity to keep three active boys happy indoors!

January went by super fast! At La Industria we were focused on helping the students prepare songs to lead worship for the first time at our local church and creating a couple of performances for the Aglow Women’s National Conference which took place in Madrid last weekend.

You may remember we had a new member added into our team last year, Josh Brister, but he has only now been able to join us with this group of students due to visa issues. He did a great job last year and we are super excited to have him back. The nine students sound pretty good already but we expect Josh to help them go to a whole other level!

We are busy with phone calls and emails planning our events. February is our last month of creation and rehearsal, as in March we should be very busy performing, specially in highschools in our region. We appreciate your prayers! May God open doors and direct us as we plan the events.

We continue to enjoy our local church, with new people coming to know Jesus and with “old people” being renewed as we do life together. We ourselves are also experiencing God’s presence in new ways, there’s always more to learn!! We are being transformed from one degree of glory to another! And if you know Jesus, so are you!! Have a great day!

Mariberta Kilford
Mariberta, also known as Maria by most English speakers..., the third of four children, I grew up in Burgos, a city in the North of Spain. I was actually born in USA, but my parents moved to Spain as missionaries when I was a baby. From childhood I have believed in God and have had a relationship with Him. In my early twenties I discovered that my passion is to disciple young people, to help them discover who they are in Christ, and to help them find ways to reach out to others with the Gospel. I like pretty spaces and I love things to be well organised. I tend to like greens and earthy colors. I had to wait a couple of years for Darren to agree to go out with me. I think I always look forward to the future although I do enjoy thinking about the past. My favorite Psalm is number 16.
